Acrylic artworks inspired by holidaying on Moreton Bay and the Gold Coast waterways.
I'm Ottilie — a 16-year-old self-taught painter from Brisbane, holidaying between Moreton Bay and the Gold Coast. The ocean has always been home, and it finds its way into every piece I make.
My work centres on seafood still lifes: the vivid blues of a swimmer crab, the iridescent shells of oysters, the bold orange of a coral trout. I paint both large-scale statement works and smaller, more intimate colourful compositions.
I'm currently taking commissions and building my practice one painting at a time. Follow along on Instagram at @OttilieGrayArt.
Statement pieces centred on crabs and the creatures of Moreton Bay — painted with bold colour and presence.
Smaller, colourful compositions — oysters on striped backgrounds, prawns on patterned plates, lobsters with wavy pink backdrops. Perfect for a home or as a gift.
Have a species, a favourite catch, or a memory from the water you'd like painted? I'd love to hear about it.
I will be showing new works as part of a Christmas group exhibition in Brisbane, end of 2026. New paintings, new directions — details to be announced closer to the date.
Have a favourite seafood, a memorable catch, or a coastal scene you want painted? I take a small number of commissions — get in touch and let's create something together.
